Session 1. Assessment ( 9am - 10:30am )
● Topographical assessment of landscape functions & natural resilience
● Paddock enterprise suitability
● Livestock impact Management - laneways and camps
Morning Tea 10:30 - 11am
Session 2. Small Scale Earthworks and Plantations ( 11am - 1pm )
● Demonstrate swale build below S8
● Swales - focusing growth and small impact water influence
● Yeomans pattern ploughing - water harvesting and infiltration
● Windbreaks - protection of zones
Lunch 1pm - 2pm
Session 3. Pastures and Animal management ( 2pm - 4pm )
● Diversity of paddocks
● Diversity within paddocks
● Perennial vs annual feed
● C3 vs C4 species - Summer vs Winter
● When to graze
● Factors deciding intensity
● Simple fencing
